Flu season is here and poor Dave has come down with it.  I always feel better after having some homemade Chicken Noodle Soup and this is really easy to make. Chicken Noodle Soup

Ingredients
  • 4-5 Chicken breasts
  • 8 cups of water
  • 3 carrots
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups dry pasta
Instructions
  1. In a large stock pot put 8 cups of water and chicken breasts. Boil chicken until done about 8-10 min. Remove chicken from water and shred. Add chicken back to water it was cooked in. Add sliced carrots, celery and diced onion. Add poultry seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add pasta and cook following packing timing. Taste to make sure you have enough flavor. Add more salt and pepper if needed.
  2. Enjoy and get feeling better.

The best thing about this soup is you can freeze it.  It will keep  in the freezer for 2 months.  That way when someone needs so chicken noodle soup it is on hand.  Work great for when you get sick and just don’t feel like cooking.
