Green Tea Lemon Aid


After a long hot day in the garden this is just what I need to re-energize. Green tea’s health benefits are largely due to its high content of antioxidants. Coconut water is an excellent source of electrolytes without all the added sugars that are in those sports drinks.

1/2 cup hot water
3 green tea bags
1-2 packets stevia
1 lemon
3 1/2 cups cold water
1 17oz can coconut water

Steep tea in hot water for 3-5 minutes.  Cut lemon in half. Juice half of lemon and slice the other half.  After tea has steeped add everything to glass jar and mix.  Serve over ice.
