Philli Cheese Steak Awesomness!

Who doesn’t love a good Philli Cheese Steak?  I can’t think of a better sandwich with the grilled peppers and onions melted together with the steak on a soft toasted bun.  YUMMMMMMM  I am thinking game day food.

I learned a little trick that makes the meat fall off the bone tender (see directions below)  No one wants a chewy steak sandwich.

Ingredients:

1 lb cheap steak
1 green pepper, sliced
1 small onion, sliced
1/2 a package Au Jus gravy mix
1 1/2 cups water
ground pepper
provolone cheese, sliced

Slice steak as thin as possible.  Sprinkle with ground pepper and saute for a few min until the steak is no longer pink and the juices have rendered out.  Add the onion and green pepper. saute until the onion and peppers are wilted.  sprinkle the Au Jus mix over the meet and veggies. stir until everything is coated.  Add 1 1/2 cups of water. simmer for 10-15 min.  The mixture should be thick and full of flavor.  Meat should be tender and delicious.  Spoon some of the mixture onto the buns, top with cheese and broil for 1-2 min until it is hot and bubbly.
